Orioles minor league recap 8/28: Sisco and Hays homer, Lowther and Tate pitch well

The game made it into the top of the sixth before being suspended for “unplayable field conditions.” The game will be completed in Durham (it started as a home game for Norfolk) at a later date.

Norfolk’s lone run came via a Chance Sisco solo home run in the second inning. Sisco drove an 0-2 pitch over the left-center field fence to get the Tides on the board. Luis Ortiz allowed only one run in 5.2 innings. He gave up three hits, walked one and struck out four.

After a pitching change to start the third inning, Bowie didn’t waste any time welcoming Akron pitcher Argenis Angulo to the game.
