Orioles minor league recap 6/28: Shorebirds tee off, Tides fall short

Chayce McDermott was back to his old ways last night with a three-run, four-inning performance. He walked more batters (five) than innings he pitched (four). He also allowed five hits for a cool game WHIP of 2.5. McDermott’s relief, Levi Stoudt, also gave up three runs, took the loss.

On offense, three of the four Tides’ runs came in to score on two home runs by Jeremiah Jackson. Jackson racked up three hit in the day. The Tides’ fourth run scored on a Terrin Vavra single which knocked in Samuel Basallo. Basallo reached base four times with a single and three walks.
