The Tides got solo home runs from Austin Hays, Jack Reinheimer and Ryan Mountcastle (yayyyy), but not a helluva lot else on Sunday. Joey Rickard and Anderson Feliz doubled, and Jace Peterson went 2-for-3 with a walk.
More to the point, the pitching sucked. Luis Ysla gave up 8 hits and 4 runs in 3.2 innings to leave his ERA at 5.07. Chris Lee (6.88 ERA) came on in the fourth and wasn’t impressive, giving up two runs and two walks in 1.1 innings. It might have been three runs but for a successful Joey Rickard-Jack Reinheimer-Jesus Sucre relay that nabbed a runner at the plate.
