Chayce McDermott had himself another impressive outing. He struck out 10 over five innings in this one, although he also allowed three runs on five hits and a walk. Dillon Tate served up a solo homer but also struck out two in his lone inning. Matt Krook worked a no-hit inning. And it was Luis González that nabbed the win by tossing two scoreless frames and striking out three.
Connor Norby led the Norfolk offense with his 3-for-5 performance that included a double, a home run, three runs scored, and a stolen base. Heston Kjerstad had a pair of hits, both doubles.
