The Tides were the only O’s affiliate to win on this night, with Samuel Basallo supporting a strong pitching effort. Basallo went 3-for-5 — his first three-hit game of the season — with a pair of doubles and an RBI. Jud Fabian and Vimael Machín also had multi-hit games, and TT Bowens hit a two-run homer. Coby Mayo took an 0-for-3 but walked twice.
The four runs were enough for a strong Norfolk pitching quintet that began with Trevor Rogers, who delivered his best outing of his rehab stint by giving up one run in 4.1 innings. Rogers walked one and struck out four.
