Trevor Rogers didn’t make it out of the 2nd inning in his first start at Norfolk and the Tides only mustered three hits in a loss to Charlotte. After allowing two runs over three innings in his first rehab outing with Chesapeake, the 27-year-old lefty struggled in his jump up to Triple-A.
He worked around a leadoff walk to pitch a scoreless 1st, but couldn’t do the same in the 2nd. After walking Omar Narváez on seven pitches, Rogers gave up a double to Bryan Ramos to put runners at second and third. White Sox top prospect Kyle Teel then singled home both runners to put the Knights up 2-0.
