Orioles let go of five baseball operations staffers with Duquette connections as staff adjustments begin

While many of the contracts on the baseball side for Orioles on-field and off-field baseball operations staff expire on Oct. 31, some inside the Warehouse saw a distinct thread between a wave of employees who were informed Friday that they wouldn't be brought back for 2019.

All five who were told their contracts won't be renewed on Friday came into the organization with previous connections to former executive vice president Dan Duquette, including Triple-A manager Ron Johnson, east coast scouting supervisor Kirk Frederiksson, director of Dominican baseball operations Nelson Norman, special assistant Matt Haas, and area scout Dana Duquette — Duquette's son.
