Orioles legend Brooks Robinson ‘on his way to a full recovery’ after breaking arm in fall at home

Orioles legend Brooks Robinson recently suffered a broken left arm after a fall at his home, but his family said the 84-year-old is doing well.

“Just over a week ago, Brooks Robinson fell at his home and broke his left arm,” his family said in a statement. “After a successful surgery at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, he is on his way to a full recovery. His spirits are high as he continues his rehabilitation. He thanks everyone for their well wishes.”

Considered one of the greatest third basemen of all-time, Robinson was an 18-time All-Star, 16-time Gold Glove Award winner and two-time World Series champion, becoming a Most Valuable Player, World Series MVP and All-Star Game MVP in his 23 major league seasons, all with Baltimore.
