Orioles right-hander Kevin Gausman will start Wednesday at Triple-A Norfolk for his third rehab start on his way back from right shoulder tendinitis. It might not be his last one, either.
"We’ll see, just like last time, how he feels [and] what our people there think,” manager Buck Showalter said. “Is he better than what we have? We know he has potential to be here and contribute, potentially, for the rest of the season. We’ll see how tomorrow night goes in Charlotte.”
Gausman said this weekend after pitching in High-A Frederick that he felt like his shoulder was strong, and Showalter said it’s “the best his shoulder has felt in quite some time.
