Orioles executive vice president Dan Duquette said Tuesday afternoon he knew nothing about a report that says the Washington Nationals are pursuing him to be their team president.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported Tuesday morning that Duquette was a target of the Nats. The report offered no other details about negotiations or whether Duquette had been contacted about the job.
Reached by text message Tuesday, Duquette said, “I don’t know anything about this nor has anyone contacted me.”
The Nationals, through a team spokesperson, also refuted the report.
"We are not in discussions with Dan Duquette, nor are we in the market for a team president," the spokesperson said.
