Orioles centerfielder Cedric Mullins revealed that he was diagnosed with Chron's disease following the 2020 MLB season.
In a video released by MLB Players Media, Mullins said he played the 2020 season while undergoing tests for pain that he originally thought was from food poisoning.
"They said [doctors] I had gotten to the point infection-wise that I should've been keeled over from pain," Mullins said in the video. "Surgery is kind of a must at this point."
At the conclusion of the season, the pain became so severe that doctors had to remove 10-15 centimeters of Mullins' intestine.
