Orioles' center fielder Cedric Mullins to start for AL at the All-Star Game

Baltimore Orioles' center fielder Cedric Mullins will start for the American League at the All-Star Game Tuesday night.

The league announced both starting lineups Monday. Mullins, who was picked on the team as a reserve, will get the start because the LA Angel' Mike Trout is hurt and won't be able to play.

But Mullins definitely deserves the start after having an amazing first half of the season with a .314 batting average, 106 hits, 16 home runs and 35 runs batted in.

AL lineup as of Monday afternoon:

  1. Los Angeles Angels pitcher Shohei Ohtani (DH)
  2. Toronto first-baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
