Orioles center fielder Adam Jones, who only returned last week from a rib injury that kept him out of six games earlier this season, was pulled for a defensive replacement after the sixth inning in Monday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The team said during the game that Jones left with a stomach virus. He was replaced by outfielder Nolan Reimold, who went to left field with Joey Rickard moving from left field to center field.
His removal, however set off fear that the rib injury had been aggravated.
