Outfielder Nolan Reimold is on his way to Toronto to join the Orioles from Triple-A Norfolk. He won’t be activated for today’s game, but he was scheduled to start on Sunday against Blue Jays left-hander Mark Buehrle. Reimold is hitting .400 (6-for-15) with two doubles, one homer and three RBIs in his career against Buehrle.
However, the Blue Jays are now starting right-hander Marco Estrada in Sunday’s series finale.
But Reimold’s contract is still expected to be selected Sunday.
Reimold did not have to accept an outright to the minors after he was designated for assignment on Aug.
