Newly-elected Hall of Fame pitcher Mike Mussina, who came up with the Baltimore Orioles but spent the back eight years of his 18-season career with the New York Yankees, will be depicted wearing a blank cap on his plaque, the National Baseball Hall of Fame announced Friday.
Former Orioles slugger Harold Baines will be depicted wearing a Chicago White Sox cap, while former Orioles pitcher Lee Smith will be seen wearing a Chicago Cubs cap. In their playing careers, each spent more time elsewhere, and Baines' No. 3 was retired by the White Sox in 1989, after they traded him to the Texas Rangers.
