For a team that has been dubbed as one of the biggest disappointments of the 2025 MLB season and fired their manager before the end of May, Baltimore Orioles' general manager Mike Elias has been acting like a man who knows he won't be going anywhere at the end of the season. Not that Elias' job was ever in question, to the disappointment of Orioles' fans, but it turns out he wasn't even serving as the team's general manager this season.
Multiple reports, including from Ken Rosenthal and Brittany Ghiroli of The Athletic, confirmed that Elias was promoted before the start of the season.
