Melvin Mora Elected To Orioles Hall Of Fame

Former Orioles All-Star third baseman Melvin Mora will be inducted in the team’s Hall of Fame this summer. The O’s announced that Mora, along with former left-fielders John Lowenstein and Gary Roenicke and long-time Orioles scout Fred Uhlman Sr. will be honored during a ceremony on August 14.

Mora spent ten seasons with the Orioles during a rough stretch for the franchise (2000-2009), slashing .280/.355/.438 over 1,256 games. He was an All-Star in 2003 and 2005 and won a Silver Slugger for his insane year at the plate in 2004 when he hit .
