I’m assuming “lose two out of three games to the last-place Orioles” wasn’t exactly part of the Yankees’ plans for the weekend. But that’s exactly what happened. With the Yanks in dire need of every win they can get to hang onto their slim Wild Card lead, the Orioles left them stunned and embarrassed, rolling into town and winning their first series against an AL East opponent since their opening weekend in Boston five months ago.
