I am known in my family as a person who hates pitchers’ duels. I like action, I like home runs. Does this make me an unsophisticated baseball fan? Perhaps, but I am what I am. But after watching tonight’s 1-0 win by the Orioles, maybe I could be convinced that these games aren’t so bad. At least, not when the Orioles end up on the right side of the duel.
Because what we had at Camden Yards tonight was, in fact, a pitchers’ duel. Two young pitchers who are recently back from injury faced off and it was a heck of a show.
