Henry Urrutia couldn’t have picked a better time for his first big league home run.
The Cuban outfielder, recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on before Saturday’s game, has found a home in the Orioles’ starting lineup since, making his fifth straight start in Wednesday’s interleague game against the New York Mets.
Hitless in his first three at bats on the night, Urrutia hit a Chris Torres 1-2 pitch the opposite way over the left-field fence to give the Orioles a 5-4 walk-off win.
The Orioles’ third walkoff win in their last six games also snapped their nine-game losing streak against the Mets.
