Hardy out, Flaherty in Orioles' Sunday lineup

The Orioles starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Twins is pretty typical of what manager Buck Showalter has been putting on the field recently.

But there’s one exception.

J.J. Hardy isn’t playing shortstop; Ryan Flaherty is getting the start.

That’s not a big shocker since Showalter said post-game Saturday that he’d probably give Hardy a day to rest a sore groin.

Hardy felt discomfort in Friday’s game. He played Saturday, but will get the afternoon off.

Orioles lineup: Machado 5, Parra 9, Jones 8, Davis 3, Clevenger DH Schoop 4, Urrutia 7, Joseph 2, Flaherty 6.
