Gov. Moore to replace Maryland Stadium Authority chairman

The chairman of the Maryland Stadium Authority is out of a job as the state continues to negotiate a new lease agreement for the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards.

Thomas Kelso, who served for 7 years, was one of the 48 recess appointments made by former Gov. Larry Hogan that was ejected this week by Gov. Wes Moore. Kelso has led the state's negotiations with the Angelos family to renew the lease that expires at the end of the year.

Last week, Orioles CEO John Angelos told reporters he was optimistic the lease would be renewed with Moore and Mayor Brandon Scott's help.
