Future of Oriole Park at Camden Yards remains up in the air

As the Baltimore Orioles have a possible date with destiny in the upcoming postseason, their future at Camden Yards remains unknown.

Members of Maryland Gov. Wes Moore's administration said they "feel strongly" that a new lease agreement will be reached with the Maryland Stadium Authority. The current lease will expire on Dec. 31.

Officials said they are currently in talks with three principles in mind. They defined the principles as:

- Any deal must benefit the broader community for decades to come

- It must be one that leverages state dollars to unlock private investment

- Keeps the Orioles in Baltimore for decades to come

Officials said "both sides have worked from a side of transparency since day one" and that the "media has created a narrative that there are hang-ups.
