BALTIMORE -- Andrew Cashner hasn't won in his past seven starts, and other than one tough inning on Wednesday at Camden Yards, he pitched well enough against the Phillies to end that streak.
Unfortunately, Cashner's opposite, Nick Pivetta, limited the Orioles to two hits and one walk in seven innings, striking out a career-high 11 batters as Baltimore lost, 4-1.
Cashner (1-5) was the hard-luck loser, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks in 5 2/3 innings.
Adam Jones hit his seventh homer in the first inning, extending his hitting streak to 11 games.
