Baltimore Orioles: Orioles re-sign Michael Bourn to minor-league contract

The Baltimore Orioles continue to add veteran presence to the roster, this time signing a familiar face who helped the Orioles during their postseason run. The Orioles re-signed Michael Bourn to a minor-league deal on Monday night with an invitation to Spring Training.

Bourn can make $2 Million in base salary if he makes the Opening Day roster. His deal also includes a March 27th opt-out clause if his contract isn’t selected by the Orioles.

Bourn was originally acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks last August, and since then he had been used for his speed in the outfield and the basepaths.
