It has been a long week for the Baltimore Orioles. The week began by getting swept in embarrassing fashion by the New York Yankees who finished the season 10-0 at Camden Yards. Then they dropped the first two games of their series giving up 23 runs in their loss Saturday.
With Astros ace, Justin Verlander scheduled to take the ball Sunday and a trip to the Bronx to take on the first place Yankees looming it appeared dark times would be getting darker.
Instead, Baltimore did what many would consider unthinkable. They frustrated Verlander more than anyone has in 2019.
