Baltimore Orioles: Cedric Mullins Reacts To Demotion To Double-A

One of the few players Baltimore Orioles fans were excited about entering 2019 was outfielder Cedric Mullins.

Mullins played 45 games for Baltimore in 2018 and recorded 40 hits with four home runs and 11 RBI’s. Many believed he would be the Orioles centerfielder of the future, but the start of 2019 has proved he may not ever be a factor for the O’s going forward.

After breaking spring training with the big league squad, Mullins was quickly demoted to Triple-A Norfolk after slashing a woeful .094/.181/.156 in 22 games. The Orioles hoped a stint in the minors would straighten the 24-year-old out and get him back to the player that excited the fan base at the end of last season.
