If you’ve been hoping for an exciting League Championship Series round of this year’s MLB playoffs, the NL sure hasn’t delivered it yet. The Cardinals are so dead in the water that even if they do manage to pick up a win and avoid a sweep today, they’re still not going to seem like they’re really in the series.
Nobody comes back from a 3-0 deficit - except, of course, the 2004 Red Sox, which was funny at the time since it happened to the Yankees and we didn’t know how annoying Red Sox fans would become over the next 15 years.
