In today's Orioles trade rumors and news update, the Baltimore Orioles are reportedly one of several teams which have made an initial inquiry about Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Jon Lester.
According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports 1, the Orioles have expressed interest in putting together a deal with their AL East rivals that would land Lester in Baltimore for the final two months of the regular season:

The price for Lester remains high despite the relative lack of security that a trade for the 30-year-old lefty would bring. Lester has indicated that he'd be willing to return to Boston in free agency this winter, making an acquisition of Lester tricky in that it could end up being just a glorified rental.
However, with the Orioles in control of the AL East and looking to create some separation from the rest of the field, such a deal could be the difference between an AL Wild Card berth and an AL East pennant.
