On Tuesday, recent Yorktown graduate Blake Vise sat down for a meeting with Ball State golf head coach Mike Fleck.
Vise was already enrolled to go to Ball State, but wasn't sure if he was going to play golf. He needed assurance that Fleck wanted him on the team.
"Coach Fleck and I talked about how my season went and I've been in touch with him through my senior year and summer," Vise said. "He just wanted to make a meeting with and tell me he wanted me to join the team next year."
On Wednesday, the Yorktown golfer who finished tied for sixth at state agreed to play golf for Fleck and the Cardinals.
