MUNCIE, Ind. — The Star Press' first football Player of the Week in 2022 is Yorktown's Jalen Thomas.
In the Tigers' season-opening 20-0 victory at Anderson on Aug. 19, the junior running back totaled 121 rushing yards and one touchdown on just 13 attempts, a 9.3 yards per carry average. His ground attack, as well as his one reception for one yard, accounted for 49.1% of Yorktown's total offensive yardage in the game.
