MUNCIE, Ind. — When seniors Tobi Bell, Sarah Green, Kayleigh Ross and Hunter Slaven got the Delaware County championship trophy after Yorktown's 52-37 win over Wapahani, they immediately ran it over to their teammates.
Quickly, the trophy went from the hands of one girl to another, as the Tigers screamed in celebration on the court. No one player held onto it for too long while posing for pictures because, they knew, it wasn't won with just one or two of them.
This county title — the 20th in Yorktown girls basketball program history — came as a result of the entire team coming together.
