MUNCIE, Ind. — Yorktown didn't quite have the finish it wanted, but the Tigers leave Carmel with the best finish from an East Central Indiana squad in five years.
The Tigers finished the two-day state tournament in 12th place out of 15 teams, shooting a 653 to come in at 77 over par. They shot 326 on Wednesday after carding a 327 on Tuesday.
It's the best a local team has done since Yorktown finished ninth in 2014.
Carson Orr tallied Yorktown's best score Wednesday with an 80, same as he shot Tuesday.
