Yorktown baseball's lone senior helped lift team to special postseason run, set Tigers up for next season

KOKOMO, Ind. — Before every game of this special run, the Yorktown baseball team went over to Grahm Reedy's house for a team meal. Reedy's mom was superstitious, so as the Tigers kept winning, they also kept feasting on barbecue, baked ziti and more.

And while the Tigers' season ended with a 5-0 loss to No. 1 Andrean at the Kokomo Semi-State on Saturday, they left the ballpark feeling well about how they played — and what lies ahead.

To only have one senior is challenging, but to hear Yorktown coach P.J. Fauquher and cleanup hitter Gehrig Smalstig tell it, Reedy's impact was more than just being the No.
