CLEVELAND, Ohio - - For her part in helping guide the Ball State women's volleyball team to a 2-1 mark last week, sophomore middle Marie Plitt has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week.
It was a solid all-around week for Plitt, who averaged 2.08 blocks, 1.33 digs and 2.33 kills per set while hitting .368.
In fact, in Saturday's contest versus Central Michigan, Plitt recorded the largest individual blocking total in the MAC so far this season, registering 11 total blocks. It was also the most blocks in a match for a Ball State player since Sept.
