MUNCIE, Ind. — Winchester three-sport senior Gena Moore will play softball at the next level.
Moore on Thursday signed her letter of intent to play at NAIA Huntington University next year. Moore has been a two-way player for the Golden Falcons in her two seasons, but her strength lies in her bat.
She was the team's second-best hitter on last year's 16-9 team. Moore had a slash line of .523/.610/.755 for an OPS of 1.366 while also going 2-2 as a pitcher with a 5.53 ERA in 38 innings. In her career she's tallied 89 hits, 47 RBI's, 24 doubles, six triples and three home runs in 186 plate appearances.
