GARRETT, Ind. — Is there a guy faster on the base paths than Jackson Taylor? Around these parts, maybe not.
The Yorktown speedster shrugged when asked the question after the Tigers' 9-6 win Saturday over New Haven in the Garrett Regional semifinals.
"I know (Delta's) Aiden Hinds can run pretty well," Taylor said. "Other than that, I'm not really sure."
Taylor's blazing speed was on full display Saturday as he ripped not one, not two, but three triples — including a game-tying line drive in the seventh inning. His last two triples were both with two strikes and both tied the game.
