MUNCIE, Ind. — Jeff Holloway wasn’t looking to leave Avon, and he wasn’t looking to stop coaching high school basketball.
In fact, when people reached out to him about his interest in taking over as Muncie Central’s athletic director given Tom Lyon’s retirement, at first Holloway didn’t think he had any. Holloway enjoyed coaching where he was, and wasn’t sure if he wanted to stop after four seasons at Avon. But then, as the 1994 Muncie Central alumnus thought about it more, he felt as if he were being called back home.
Holloway, who played basketball at Muncie Central before playing collegiately and professionally, saw it as a chance to return to where he was from.
