Why, despite her love for BSU softball, Megan Ciolli Bartlett couldn’t turn down Texas

MUNCIE, Ind. — Megan Ciolli Bartlett said she wasn’t looking to leave Ball State this year.

Ciolli Bartlett, whose fifth season as BSU softball’s head coach was cut short due to COVID-19 concerns, is a self-described “Indiana girl” whose parents live in Terre Haute. She loves Muncie. And she loves how Ball State athletic director Beth Goetz and Dr. Karin Lee, a deputy athletic director and the internal operations/senior woman administrator, run the department.

Ciolli Bartlett’s first head coaching job was with the Cardinals, starting with the 2016 season. She, to date, had amassed an 141-108 career record with three seasons with at least 30 wins.
