MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State University officials have had conversations about the changing landscape of sports gambling in the state of Indiana.

BSU President Geoffrey S. Mearns and Athletic Director Beth Goetz have spoken with each other, as well as presidents and athletic directors of other institutions that compete in the Mid-American Conference. And regarding the legalization of sports betting in Indiana in 2019, the year after the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling allowing states across the country to do so, Mearns and Goetz say their discussions have followed similar lines of thought.
