SELMA, Ind. — Looking down, kicking around the warning track dirt that made its way outside of the softball field fence, Jeff Zeiger takes a moment to reflect.

Standing just a few feet from the soccer practice field at Wapahani, Zeiger talks about the field conditions when the girls soccer program started nine years ago.

"We didn't have water, we didn't have fertilizer, it was terrible," Zeiger said.

When Zeiger started the girls soccer team, the field needed some work. So did the team. Zeiger comes from what he calls "a soccer family." He coached travel soccer and his two sons and daughter played the sport growing up.
