MUNCIE, Ind. — While a little more than three months have passed without the finalization of the contract extension Ball State athletic director Beth Goetz announced for BSU football coach Mike Neu, it doesn’t appear as if that should be reason for Cardinals fans to be suspicious.
In between that late November day and now, the program has ended its 2019 season with a rivalry win against Miami (Ohio) to finish 5-7 overall and 4-4 against the Mid-American Conference. Neu and his staff have hit the recruiting trail twice, first ahead of the early signing period in December and again ahead of the regular signing period that started in early February.
