GASTON, Ind. — Players, coaches, athletic directors, administrators and more have come and gone through Wes-Del over the past 20 years. During that time, Trent Dowling has remained one of the few constants.
Trent, Wes-Del's varsity assistant basketball coach, has coached about every level of basketball since he began two decades ago. He started at the middle school level, was the head freshmen and junior varsity coach and has spent the past few seasons as an assistant at the varsity level.
Prior to Friday night's game between Wes-Del and Blue River, a game which Wes-Del won 65-63, Trent was honored for his commitment to the Warriors' boys basketball program.
