GASTON, Ind. — Wes-Del High School has canceled all athletic workouts for the remainder of the week following a positive COVID-19 test.
The news came from a tweet from the Wes-Del Athletic Department Twitter account Monday afternoon.
"Due to a positive COVID-19 case among our staff, all athletic workouts for the remainder of the week are canceled," the tweet read. "At this time we plan to resume all athletic workouts next week."
While various schools across the state have had to suspend workouts due to positive COVID-19 tests, this marks the first time a school in East Central Indiana has had to take the measure.
