MUNCIE, Ind. — For the better part of the past decade, Delta boys swimming and diving has been the pride of the Eagles' program.
But as their streak of seven consecutive sectional titles ended last winter, the girls are now the side on the rise. Head coach Laura Seibold-Caudill has been involved in the sport long enough to know when an individual or group is special, and this Delta girls freshman class is perhaps the best she's seen.
"It's really motivating me. I get goosebumps," Seibold-Caudill said. "I've coached 52 years ... I get so excited for new talent that I can develop.
