MUNCIE, Ind. — Following a Saturday morning practice just three days before the beginning of the 2020-21 boys basketball season, the goal for Muncie Burris seniors Grant Jones and Josh Stephenson was clear.
These guys want to win.
The last time the Owls boys basketball had a winning season was in 2012 when they finished just one win short of snapping a now 17-year streak without a sectional title. Last season, Burris started off slow but the chemistry of that team, one that featured several first-time varsity players, saw major improvement by the time the postseason tournament began.
