FRANKTON, Ind. — There’s no talking around a 14-0 loss.

Wapahani failed to score at all against Alexandria in the opening game of the Class 2A softball sectional at Frankton and allowed Alexandria to score 14 runs over seven innings. The Raiders suffered their most lopsided defeat in their 2019 season finale. And like more than a couple of their losses earlier in the season errors played a significant role.

Base-running miscues did, too. As did the Tigers’ three-pronged pitching attack and impressive, near-perfect defensive showing. And don’t forget the three-run home run Tigers sophomore Kaitlyn Bair hit over the scoreboard in center field.
