Volleyball Tops Purdue Fort Wayne in Exhibition Action

MUNCIE, Ind. - - Saturday afternoon was exactly what the Ball State women's volleyball team needed, as it took advantage of an exhibition match versus Purdue Fort Wayne by testing a variety of options to prep for next Friday's season-opening matches.

When it was all said and done, 16 different players saw action for the Cardinals who threw out a different lineup in each set of its 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 25-18, 25-17) victory over the Mastodons.

"We got exactly what we needed to get out of today," head coach Kelli Miller Phillips said. "Just seeing where we're at and allowing people to get experience on the floor.
