In improving to 11-5 (2-1 MAC), the Cardinals out-blocked the Eagles (10-7; 2-1 MAC) by an 8.0 to 3.0 margin for the match. EMU entered the contest as the league's top blocking team at 2.35 blocks per set. Thanks to its solid play on both offense and defense, however, Ball State was able to raise its season total to a league-leading 2.
