MUNCIE, Ind. — The Ball State football team was having a meeting earlier this week in the Scheumann Family Team Meeting Room when Jason Whitlock unexpectedly called in via Facetime.
And he had a big surprise for a current Ball State football player.
Whitlock is a former Ball State player himself and the current host of Speak for Yourself on FS1. Last week he visited the team for several days while on vacation, along with former player Dante Love. On this night, though, he detailed how when he played for the Cardinals, some of the best players weren't on scholarship or were initially considered more of an afterthought.
